All I want for Christmas is to enjoy bubbles, fashion and racing one last time.. And I did at the Everything Automotive Christmas Race Day party at the Cairns Jockey Club. I had a very important role for the last race day of 2017 and that was to judge the fashions on the field. Ladies and gents alike got right into the Christmas spirit, expressing their love of the silly season through their attire. One gorgeous lady came dressed as a Christmas present with her gift printed jumpsuit and green bow fascinator to match. I overheard another racegoer talking about her hand crafted, genuine ostrich feather percher, the pom pop alone took the well known local milliner 8 hours to make.
Regular racegoer Tamara Ortiz said “I love the festive atmosphere, the Christmas races are always so much fun with great fashion and even better people. It was a great day, very relaxed and the perfect way to wrap up the racing year”.
