Meta, formerly Facebook Inc., is a technology company focusing on building social and virtual platforms. It owns social media networks Facebook and Instagram, messaging apps WhatsApp and Messenger, and develops products for augmented and virtual reality, like Oculus. Meta’s mission is to connect people and foster community online. Through its platforms, businesses can run targeted advertising, engage audiences, and build brand awareness. Meta offers tools for analytics, ad performance tracking, and audience insights, making it a powerful resource for digital marketing. The company is also investing in the “metaverse,” aiming to create immersive, interactive spaces for social and business experiences.

2 Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to Meta accounts by requiring a second form of verification beyond just a password. With 2FA enabled, users enter their password and then verify their identity via a code sent to their phone, an authenticator app, or security key. This reduces the risk of unauthorised access, as even if someone obtains a password, they would still need the second factor to log in. For Meta’s platforms, where personal and business data is often stored, 2FA is essential in preventing hacking, safeguarding user privacy, and ensuring account integrity in digital interactions.

Facebook Page Ownership

A person or business manager account can own a Facebook Page by creating it or being assigned ownership by an existing Page owner. When a Page is created, the creator becomes its initial owner, with full access to settings and management options. For businesses, a Business Manager account can be set as the Page owner by requesting or assigning ownership within Meta Business Manager. This allows the business to control access and assign roles without using personal accounts. Ownership provides centralised management, enabling secure and efficient collaboration for advertising, analytics, and content management through Meta’s platform.
