Held in the picturesque settings of Paradise Palms Resort and Country Club mini maestros and tiny dancers from the Sunny Ale Music Education studio, eagerly waited for their moment in the spot light. The ‘Show Case in Paradise’ event is extra special as not only have these gifted kids been preparing for their performance year but it is also to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

A cause close to event organiser (and Director of the Sunny Ale Music Education) Suna Lau Flynn’s heart. Suna said “My daughter got diagnosed with Leukaemia when she was only two and a half and has now been in remission for three years. The Leukaemia Foundation provided help for me and my family at a time that we needed it. For me, this was a way I could give back to the foundation.”

I could see how much time and preparation went in to this event, everything ran smoothly which was unexpected when you have troupe of tots, the youngest being only five years of age. We enjoyed the peaceful harmony of the piano and violin, the standout for me was songster Louise Abara, dressed in a white tuxedo and guitar in hand he belted out ‘Riptide’ by Vance Joy.

My takeaway from this event, Cairns’ got talent!
