Lately I have met numerous driven, creative and entrepreneurial individuals with incredible stories of struggles and success. During the last week of school I was able to share my own story of success alongside Jaime Gunton, founder of Matchy Matchy Sets (matching horse riding gear) at Woree State High school.
With a bubble in my throat I opened my presentation with the words ‘Do you want to be your own boss? If you answered yes, there is a good chance that you will benefit from the Entrepreneurs of the Future program’. The program run by enVizion will offer up to 30 young entrepreneurs between the ages of 15-24 an opportunity to kick start their own business or business concept.
School students and community members were invited back to Billy’s Coffee that evening for a light laser show, music, good pizza and to find out more about the program and what it takes to get a business off the ground. For those who know they want to do something, but haven’t worked it out yet the program offers a part time paid position as the Pacesetter as well as ready-made 3D Printer business which will require 3 driven individuals to take it on as their own. For the right people, the business takes zero cash investment however prepare to invest your passion and time! With the incredible artwork that adorned the walls at this funky little cafe it was difficult not to feel inspired. 2018 is looking bright for young entrepreneurs in the FNQ region!
