Only just yesterday I turned on my tv to have the classic 1990’s movie Home alone pop up on the screen. That’s when you know Christmas has definitely kicked in. For those who do not know I can be one of the biggest kids around, from the 1st of December to New Years Eve you bet I will be wearing my festive colours. So just imagine when I found out that the man in the big red suit was coming early to Mount Sheridan Plaza I just had to be there to meet him.

Front and centre to the stage I sat amongst the buddles of children ready to sing along with Santa to the all time best Christmas carols. As Mr Claus went to take a break from his singing to talk to all the little boys and girls about what’s hot on their Christmas wish List. A stampede line appeared to sit on the jolly mans lap and grab a photo. I must not be the only one wanting to persuade him to be on the good list this year!

To keep myself busy while waiting my turn the roar of the jungle awoke my interests as a lost Mowgli from the Jungle Book appeared on centre stage to perform a live show. After the show had finished I attempted to go see Santa once more but instead I walked straight into one of the Cairns Taipans Basketball players, who showed me a few tips and tricks with the ball. I finally got a break away to go see Santa.. This is it I approached the big red thrown and just like that he had vanished.

Oh well, they told me not to worry as Santa will be at Mount Sheridan Plaza every 10am -2pm until the 24th of December I will catch him then!
